Information About the Trust

The Leicestershire Community Projects Trust began life in 1981 as the Leicester Action for Youth Trust and became a registered charity and company limited by guarantee in 1982. Although a name change followed, the Trust is still registered under the same information, with the registered charity number being 512719 and the company number being 1617951. The Director, Pauline Munroe is the Company Secretary.

Over time, the Trust has evolved from being a specific youth work charity, to a charity focusing on an audience with wider social problems but specifically working in the drug & alcohol field.

The Trust is funded primarily from Melton, Rutland and Harborough PCT and Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Councils via the Drug & Alcohol Action Team. The Trust also recieves funding for specific projects from a number of other organisations and donations from individuals and groups.

Running the Trust on a day-to-day basis is the responsibility of the Management Team, headed up by the Director, Pauline Munroe, and the Service Manager & Deputy Director, Paul Clark.

The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees which also has a responsibility for the strategy and direction of the Trust’s work. The Trustees currently working with the Trust are:-
